Suicidal Gardenia.

found this thread - suicidal gardenia - while searching for info on pruning gardenias. it's more amusing than informative, but worth a read. having reached the follow-up limit (over the course of three years!) it continues here.

i got a gardenia bush as a small bush im in a clay/granite/quartz area. ive mixed miricale grow soil and the reg ground soil and planted in my garden, we water 1-2 times a day depending on the weather ,we have 110 degree days with direct sun all day and it drys out fast. the plant dont look so good. i had this problem with one i planted before it died off, but this year its comming back nice, slow but green, what do i need to do to help this bush grow. i use mirical grow food 1 a week, too much?thank you
