Figs!

yesterday i ate two figs from the fig tree. they probably would have been better in another day or two, but i was anxious to try them before the squirrels / birds ate everything. while looking for ripe figs i found evidence in the form of partially munched on figs (still on the tree) that the neighborhood critters have a taste for figs. if only we could reach an arrangement where the squirrels and birds get everything in the top third of the tree and the people get the rest.
