Green Space.

over the last few months the houston chronicle has been introducing various reader blogs. among the most recent is green space--a reader blog about gardening. so, given the sporadic posting here, i suggest checking them out!

the two authors can also be read at cybertoad's garden and garden obsession.

now, if only the chronicle's garden editor, kathy huber, had a blog...

Manufacturers so far have manufactured products and delivered to their dealer and consumers, that is all: They just supply and sell the product but they don’t care how those products are used or disposed off. When products become useless, consumers simply throw them away as a waste on the road or put in to the Municipal waste and worry no more. That is the traditional approaches of product consumption and throws them away. Cities of the developing countries are facing the same problems, today. For better Urban Environmental Management, companies have responsibilities from manufacture to disposal of their products, and consumers are also attentive on how to separate resources from waste for urban sustainability.

Today, as serious environment pollution spreads worldwide, "reduction of waste" and "recycling" are challenges of ever increasing importance in community activities, but along with modernization, there has been a growing trend to make new product from natural resources, use them once and then throw them away. Our daily life consists in utilizing various things and services related to resources and environment. Whether, we recognize it or not, these things and services burden to the environment in various ways. To mitigate this burden, both the parties manufacturer and consumers to review their social and life system in each and every aspect.

Everybody wants to avoid activities that will lead to destruction of the global environment in which we live but their intended or unintended daily activities are environment friendly or not are the prime concern to them. Society is made up of ordinary people. Ordinary people cannot afford to buy expensive products no matter how environment-friendly they may be. Environment friendly business does not mean that, product should me more expensive but means that the packaging and containers have to reuse and recycle. This can further reduce the cost of production. Cost of production can be reduces by implementing the Cleaner production technology or Sustainable Product Design (SPD). On the other hand, it ensures the quality and quantity to consumers beside the resource conservation. †If the consumers become aware for environment friendly product, manufacturers have no option to produce environment friendly product except to lock their company.

Market depends greatly on the consumers who are in the position to choose. When the consumers built their green consumers network for purchasing product, investors feel that and companies will be actively involved in environment-oriented business management and developed new technique and technologies. However it only after consumers purchase attitude towards environment friendly products. With regard to prices, a system that would create additional tax burden for environment-unconscious products may greatly improve the situation. Additional environment tax burden will also serve as a great motivation for technological development by manufacturers. On top of that, creation of the concept of Eco-business can be built as a fashionable for indispensable. This concept can be creating by deepening communications between manufacturers and consumers with Eco-business (abbreviation of Ecology and Business) placed in between.
Considering the recent environmental problems, each product should consider the reduction of environmental impact and simultaneously provide certain properties or function, which could create a human friendly and amenity life space. Additionally, considering environment and customer's satisfaction, technology and product should be a simple and intelligent one which is based on the own properties of materials with a certain creative idea. When the product contains its some short of originality in its characters, which can be easily recyclable and reuse.
Spend a lot of money on developing and commercializing products that will not be accepted by the market. However, since it is only after consumers purchase their products that the market for them is created, when consumers evaluate high-quality products correctly then the target of Eco-business will gain the goal to ensure the sustainability in environmental management. Eco-business can create the product and services, human friendly. Developed country like Japan is getting better result of Eco-business and consumer’s Green-net work. Even, Japan producing the Eco-cement for construction.

All most all the city of developing countries like; Kathmandu and Delhi are facing the depletion of resources and problem of waste simultaneously. Developing Countries are investing their scarce huge budget to improve the urban environment but not thinking about the Eco-business. In this regard, those both impact can be minimize by Green-business. Eco- business will be the emerging idea and technology for developing nation for the welfare of public health and environmental Sustainability.
